ABINGDON, VA (November 15, 2013) – Highlands Community Services was honored to be among the winners of the 2013 international MarCom Awards announced this week. In the category of Marketing/Promo Campaign/Branding Refresh, HCS received Gold.
Communications Manager, Danielle Lamson states, “We are honored to receive this award as a symbol of all the hard work, dedication, and execution that continues to go into our agency branding efforts. Many have contributed to our win including HCS Design and Communications Specialist – Briana Morris and Glade Spring based creative agency – Coburn Creative. Being able to bring home an award like this to an agency as valuable as Highlands Community Services thrills me. The MarCom Awards competition recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. There were over 6,500 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in this year’s competition. MarCom entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers. The competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies. MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals
