ABINGDON, VA (March 1, 2013) – A new year brings a fresh new look for Highlands Community Services. As an agency that serves thousands of people throughout Washington County and Bristol, Virginia, it is important that the agency image and branding properly reflect the work that they do.
Danielle Lamson, Communications Manager, says that, “We are people-focused here at HCS, and we wanted our branding to reflect that. Working with local ad agency Coburn Creative, we developed the new logo. The logo is a butterfly, but not just any butterfly. It consists of a therapeutic and calming color palette, there are subtle faces that can be seen in the wings, and it has an inkblot kind of feel that also subtly speaks to the mental health focus of our agency. Also, our tagline ‘improving lives, discovering possibilities’ leaves no question that we are focused on the lives of those in our community. The image has been very well received and we look forward to the community becoming more and more aware of who we are and the good work that we do. ”
Along with the new logo and tagline, the agency recently released their new website at www.highlandscsb.org. The website focuses on the services provided and the impact they have upon the community. It’s clean, modern, and easy to navigate. HCS focuses on innovation not just in its branding but also in its service development. It has continued to focus on building programs that assist individuals from all walks of life.
Jeff Fox, Executive Director, states that, “HCS represents the ideal that mental health is an integral part of every community’s well-being. We remain committed to quality, innovation, and customer service.”
