FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: ABINGDON, VA (July 12, 2022) – Highlands Community Services (HCS) is expanding its Crisis Services Department into a newly renovated facility and are seeking qualified candidates to fill positions of all levels that will provide new services for the community.
The new services will include a 12-bed residential crisis stabilization unit and a 23-hour observation program focused on those experiencing psychiatric or substance use crises, including detox.
Mental health nurse practitioners, clinicians, qualified mental health professionals, registered nurses and residential technicians are highly sought. Full-time and PRN opportunities are available.

HCS will conduct on-site and virtual interviews to qualified candidates from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. on the day of the event, Thursday, July 21, at 414 Ivy Street in Abingdon, VA. Potential candidates will also have an opportunity to tour the newly renovated facility during the interview process.
